GREENGAGE
Goals
How is it achieved?
The project aims to help setting up and coordinating Communities of Observers (COs), i.e. groups of heterogenous stakeholders who get together with the aim of addressing data gaps which prevent those taking decisions to being able to take more informed decisions. GREENGAGE combines authoritative data coming from Copernicus system, which provides high precision but very coarse grained information, with humans crowdsourced data which is very fine grained but also often presents reliability issues. For that, it proposes the co-design of Citizen Science (CS) experiment campaigns which result in the co-creation of data workflows encompassing all phases of data processing, namely, capture, curation, harmonization, aggregation, analysis and exploitation, by interlinking diverse source of data with the purpose of giving place to easily graspable visualizatons and indicators. The generated information is meant to inform policy makers or to validate with data evidence previoulsy formulated policies.
What was our contribution?
DEUSTO contributes with a collaborative environment, legacy of H2020 INTERLINK project, which is going to be extended and adapted to the Citizen Science domain and combined with the suite of tools provided by GREENGAGE which cover all the stages in the configuration, execution and exploitation of data workflows. Importantly, the GREENGAGE Collaborative Environment will allow the assembly of CO teams, the co-design of experiments, the orchestration of data gathering campaigns, the enactment of analytics processes and the generation of visualizations, stories lines or metrics which help decision makers in Green Deal aspects.
