Acroba
Goals
How is it achieved?
ACROBA Platform will take advantage of artificial intelligence and cognitive modules to meet personalisation requirements and enhance mass product customisation through advanced robotic systems capable of self-adapting to the different production needs. The platform will depart from the COPRA-AP reference architecture (closely related to FIWARE) for the design of a novel generic module-based platform. This platform will be provided with a decentralized ROS (Robot Operating System) node-based structure to enhance its modularity. The Project approach will be demonstrated by means of five industrial large-scale real pilots.
What was our contribution?
Our contribution in ACROBA is twofold. First, we designed and implemented the ACROBA robotic modular platform based on the reference architecture COPRA-AP, scalable and configurable to target the industrial needs, featuring connectors with FIWARE and ROS. Second, we designed the Deep Reinforcement Learning module for distributed coordination of autonomous and collaborative robots applying and designing appropriate multi-agent strategies.
