Financiación
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement Nº 101077433
Objetivo
SOTERIA aims to accelerate the attainment of the Vision Zero EU goal for vulnerable road users through a holistic framework of innovative models, tools and services that enable data driven urban safety intelligence, facilitate safe travelling of VRUs and foster the safe integration of micro-mobility services in complex environments.
What was our contribution?
In this project, we lead the Work Package (WP) on advanced accident analysis and safety intelligence, the objective of which is to derive intelligence from safety-related data and implement models and methods for advanced accident analytics. Within this WP, we lead two tasks, the first one, oriented towards the development of a graph structured database that stores heterogeneous data sources related to the safety of Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs); and the second one, towards the use of Deep Learning and Explainable AI techniques for road safety estimation. Furthermore, we also led a task related to the state-of-the-art review with updates on the latest developments in VRU safety.
