The research in Applied Mechanics focuses on analyzing the mechanical behavior of structural systems and materials, as well as optimizing production processes. Its efforts are directed toward key sectors such as automotive, industrial equipment, and consumer goods, with the aim of fostering a more efficient, innovative, and sustainable industry.

It has managed over 150 projects, published more than 300 scientific articles, and supervised 31 doctoral theses to date, with accumulated funding exceeding €15M.
