Dr. Juan Ignacio (Iñaki) Vázquez. Doctor in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence with Doctor Europeus mention (University of Deusto, Spain and Lancaster University, UK). From 2020 to 2023 he served as Director of the Deusto Technology Institute – DeustoTech. He is a researcher and professor in the area of Reinforcement Learning and the Internet of Things, especially in Artificial Intelligence techniques for Cognitive Robotics. He is a member of the European Internet of Things Council, and founder of several technological start-ups in the field of the Internet of Things such as Symplio and EasyContext. Until 2011, he was Director of the R&D Unit in Smart Objects at DeustoTech. He has participated in and directed multidisciplinary technological product development teams at national and European levels. He has numerous publications in journals and book chapters, as well as in prestigious international conferences in recent years.
