    Research Assistant

Erik, who graduated in Computer Engineering (2022) and earned a Master’s degree in Computing and Intelligent Systems (2023), is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence. For his thesis, he is working in the field of NeuroAI, focusing on developing solutions that intersect the disciplines of AI and neuroscience. He has actively contributed to the BerezIA project through publications that establish the relationship between the Forward-Forward algorithm and Hebbian dynamics, exploring their use to enhance the robustness of networks against out-of-distribution examples and non-stationary environments. Currently, he is working on the development of biological mechanisms to consolidate visual information using purely biological methods.
