    Rodríguez-Marín Peral, Carlota
    Research Assistant

Carlota completed her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design Engineering at the University of Deusto between 2018 and 2022. She also earned a Master's degree in Design and Manufacturing in Automotive Engineering during the 2023-2024 academic year. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Applied Mechanics, focusing on fluid mechanics applied to 3D printing of metals, while simultaneously engaging in teaching activities at the university.

During her university years, Carlota interned for three years at the University's FabLab, where she applied her theoretical knowledge in a practical, collaborative environment. After completing her Bachelor's, she joined Nuuk Mobility Solutions, contributing to the development of solutions for electric micromobility and promoting sustainable mobility. As part of her dual training during the Master's program, she spent time at CIE Automotive as a CAD/CAE Engineer, gaining valuable insights into automotive design and manufacturing processes.

Her primary research interest lies in fluid mechanics, a field she is exploring in-depth during her PhD to advance its application in metal 3D printing. Throughout her academic and professional journey, Carlota has demonstrated responsibility, determination, and initiative. Her experiences have honed her skills in self-management, teamwork, and active learning, enabling her to tackle complex problems and make informed decisions. She thrives in both independent and collaborative settings, valuing active listening and continuous learning as essential components of professional success.

Carlota joins the Deusto for Knowledge (D4K) team to work on the strategic project aimed at advancing quantum computing technologies. She will contribute as a pre-doctoral researcher, focusing on developing mechanisms for early detection of suicidal ideation based on user activity on social media platforms.
