Enrique Onieva is a professor in the area of artificial intelligence, machine learning and Big Data at the University of Deusto, as well as a Researcher in Intelligent Transport Systems applications related to data processing, mobility and Smart Cities in the Deusto Smart-Mobility Research Group. He has participated in more than 50 research projects, including CYBERCARS-2 (6FP), ICSI (7FP) and PostLowCit (CEF-Transport). He is the Research Manager of the Artificial Intelligence Work Package of the TIMON Project (H2020) and Coordinator of the LOGISTAR Project (H2020). He is the author of more than 100 scientific articles, including more than 60 in top-level journals. His research has been recognized and awarded on several occasions at international conferences, and his publications have an H index of 31 (scopus.com). He is currently one of the most prolific researchers in his field. His research interest lies in the application of Artificial Intelligence to Intelligent Transportation Systems, including decision making based on fuzzy logic, evolutionary optimization and machine learning.
