Golnaz Nikmehr holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Hamedan University of Technology (2013) and a master's in Computer Engineering, specializing in networked systems, from the University of Tehran (2016). In 2019, she co-authored the paper "TSS: Temporal similarity search measure for heterogeneous information networks."
Her research interests encompass machine learning, natural language processing, social networks, and deep learning.
With six years of experience in Data Science, Golnaz has contributed to various projects, including IoT applications for health activity recognition and indoor positioning. She has also developed fraud detection algorithms for advertising networks and implemented deep learning models for gaming applications. In 2020, she focused on search engine implementation and R&D in deep learning methodologies for natural language processing tasks. Her primary programming language is Python.
Golnaz joins the DEUSTEK/MORElab team as a pre-doctoral researcher, where she will pursue her doctoral thesis within the INCEPTION project. Her role involves developing a mechanism for the early detection of suicidal ideation based on user activity on social networks.
