Raquel graduated in Industrial Engineering from the University of Deusto (2024). She later completed a Master’s in Industrial Engineering (qualifying). Originally from Logroño, she has been living in Bilbao for six years. As part of her master's program, she participated in an international mobility program in Vienna, an experience that also formed the basis of her final project, which focused on analyzing the hardness of AA6061 and AA6016 alloys at different aging stages. She is highly interested in her field of study, particularly engineering and research. Raquel considers herself a hardworking, proactive individual who is open to new ideas. She enjoys tackling new challenges and finding innovative solutions to complex problems. Raquel joins the Applied Mechanics group to work on the DECEOLIC project. Her research will focus on the numerical-experimental characterization of the behavior of different steels under warm forming conditions, the development of a digital twin for the warm forming of wind turbine components, and carbon footprint analysis. The ultimate goal is to propose a new manufacturing route for these components, reducing energy consumption and the associated carbon footprint.
