David, graduated in Physics from UPV/EHU in 2022. I started my professional career in 2021 with an internship in the Experimental Physics group at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. After that, I completed a master's degree in Mathematical Modelling at the University of Oviedo, finishing in 2024. I have been involved in two ELKARTEK projects at the University of Deusto, and I am currently working on my PhD within the Applied Mechanics group. My research focuses on the hybridization of plastics with steel in the automotive sector. I carry out static and dynamic characterization to better understand how these materials and components respond to vibrations and static loads. In addition, I use specialized FEA software and mathematical models to simulate and predict their behaviour. David is joining the Applied Mechanics unit to work on modeling the mechanical behavior of dissimilar plastic-metal joints in the automotive sector.
