Ana Mª MACARULLA ARENAZA holds a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in Electricity, and a PhD in Industrial Engineering, both from the University of Navarra. She is currently an associate professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto, where she teaches at the Bilbao campus. In undergraduate courses she teaches: Electrical Machines, Modelling of Dynamic Systems and Control Engineering, and in the university master's program in Automation, Electronics and Control (MUAECI) she teaches the course Advanced and Multivariable Control. He is currently working mainly around integration of renewable energies in electricity grids and microgrid management, as well as in modelling of waste valorisation processes and other industrial processes. He is a member of the Deusto Sustainable Research Group research team, recognised as an A-team by the Basque Government.
