José Ignacio García Quintanilla received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). As a lecturer-researcher at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto since 1998, his teaching activity is focused on subjects related to electrical power systems. In addition, he is coordinator of Engineering Degrees in the industrial area (Industrial Technology, Mechanics and Industrial Organization) and responsible for the laboratory of power electronics and electrical machines. His research focuses on the control of drives and electrical machines, on the management and quality of electrical energy and on power electronics applied to the integration of renewable energies into the grid. He is part of the Deusto Sustainable Research Group research team.
