Jenny Fajardo obtained her degree in Computer Engineering in 2008 and her Master’s in Applied Informatics in 2010, both awarded by the Technological University of Havana (CUJAE), Cuba. Between 2012 and 2015, she completed her Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies in Granada, Spain. Her professional career has been focused on teaching and research. She has over 10 years of experience in education, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses. From 2019 to 2022, she worked as an associate researcher at DeustoTech, at the University of Deusto. Since 2022, she has been working as a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, while continuing her collaboration with DeustoTech as a member of the Deusto Smart Mobility research team. In the field of research, her work focuses on Artificial Intelligence. Her main research areas include intelligent systems, the development and design of metaheuristic, hybrid, and cooperative algorithms, and their application in vehicle routing optimization and mobility transportation models.
