A graduate of MIPT (Moscow State University of Physics and Technology), Moscow, Russia, with an MSc in Physics Engineering (1987), she began her career with a research grant on "Flash photolysis of iodides in the presence of quenching gases" at the Lebedev Institute of Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences. n 1998, she shifted her focus to instructional design for technology-enhanced education, working as a researcher and content developer. From 2004 to 2009, she was an Instructional Technology Analyst at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto (Canada), responsible for the design and development of online teaching and learning tools. In 2010, she joined the DeustoTech Learning group at the University of Deusto. She hashas contributed to over 30 R&D projects (e.g., DigiScience, Discovery Space, Next-Lab - H2020, Go-Lab - FP7) and has over 150 peer-reviewed publications, including co-editing the book "IT Innovative Practices in Secondary Schools: Remote Experiments."
