Dr. Luis Enrique Díez holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Deusto (2005), Master's degree in Communication Technologies and Systems from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2012), and PhD in Engineering from the University of Deusto (2019). In his doctoral thesis he studied the design of localization systems based on inertial sensors. He is currently assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering and is a member of the research team “Deusto Smart Mobility”. Previously, he worked at Everis as a Senior IT Consultant (2005-2011), at the SOFTLAB research group at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid as a research support technician (2013-2014), and at DeustoTech as a researcher (2014-2022). His research interests focus on signal processing and data fusion for the development of location-based services and intelligent environments.
