    Jon Díaz holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Deusto (2022), with a specialized qualification in "Digital Transformation," and a Master's degree in Computing and Intelligent Systems (2023). He is currently in his second year of the PhD program "Engineering for the Information Society and Sustainable Development" at the University of Deusto. Jon began his career as a research intern in early 2020 within the DeustoTech Mobility team, where he continues to work on his doctoral thesis. His research is part of the European SOTERIA project, which aims to reduce the risk of accidents for vulnerable road users (such as children, elderly people, cyclists, etc.) in urban environments. His thesis focuses on the application of AI in the field of mobility, with a particular emphasis on reinforcement learning, a technique inspired by the way living beings learn from their surroundings, applied to solving vehicle routing problems.
