Cortés Martínez, Fernando

My research career began nearly 30 years ago in the field of Applied Mechanics, obtaining my PhD in 2006. Throughout my career, I have co-authored more than 45 articles published in high-impact journals indexed in the JCR, which has led to the achievement of three research evaluation periods ("sexenios"). I have also participated in numerous national and international conferences and co-authored one book and five book chapters.

I have been involved in 20 research projects funded through competitive calls, acting as Principal Investigator (PI) in two of them. Many of these projects have been carried out in collaboration with industry, a factor that has significantly shaped my research profile. Furthermore, my work has resulted in three patents and one knowledge transfer evaluation period ("sexenio").

My most notable contributions are focused on the fields of Computational Mechanics and the Mechanical Behavior of Materials and Structures.
