Dr. Aritz Bilbao Jayo is an Assistant Professor at the DeustoTech institute, part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto, where he also serves as a lecturer. In 2014, he graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Deusto, and in 2016, he completed the Master's in Computer Engineering at the same university. In 2020, he earned his PhD after defending his international thesis titled "From Political Manifestos to Social Networks: the automation of Political Discourse Analysis using Contextual Information".
Throughout his career, he has worked on projects such as SONOPA (AAL), MoveSmart (FP7), Fraseware (Retos), and WHY (H2020). Currently, he is involved in European projects such as BD4QoL (H2020) and IDEA4RC (Horizon Europe), where he applies artificial intelligence techniques to natural language processing, social network analysis, activity recognition in smart environments, and health.
