Ainhoa holds a Degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra, where she graduated with the Extraordinary Award (2017), and a PhD in Architecture from University of Navarra (2024).
Her research on building design and climate change has been a consistent focus throughout her professional career, either as a primary area of work or in combination with her practice as a freelance architect during the early stages of her career.
Her main research focuses on environmental sustainability, housing, and urban adaptation to climate change, with particular emphasis on the effects of overheating in urban environments and the development of strategies to improve indoor environmental quality in residential buildings. This work is complemented by an analysis of the impact of the built environment on people's health, with special attention to the most vulnerable population groups.
