Graduated in Computer Science from the University of Deusto in 1997. In January 1998 he became a founding partner of the company “Ingeniería de Microsistemas Programados S.L.” dedicated to the design and manufacture of microprocessor-based development systems. Since October 2002 he is working at the University of Deusto as a member of the Department of Computer, Electronic and Communication Technologies. PhD in Computer Science and Telecommunications since 2015 after obtaining a cum laude qualification for his doctoral thesis “Open Architecture for the Deployment of Remote Laboratories on Embedded Systems”, he has participated in more than 25 research projects within the area of embedded systems, as well as in the area of telecontrol and telemaintenance. He has collaborated in the writing of several scientific articles published in international journals, as well as several books focused on the design of microcontroller-based systems published by publishers such as McGraw Hill / Interamericana or Thomson Learning Publishing. In March 2008 he also became part of the Deusto Technological Foundation, within the research line of Intelligent Transportation, where he participates in projects funded by public calls, as well as in concerted research projects under contract. He currently holds the position of Director of the Department of Information, Electronic and Communication Technologies at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto.
