Aiur Retegi, Ph.D., is an industrial design engineer, associate professor and Principal Researcher at the Deusto Design Research Group within the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto and DeustoTech. As an associate professor, he teaches in the Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering and the Masters degree in Design and Manufacturing for Automotion. His area of expertise is Experience Design as well as Design Methodology and tools. As the Principal Researcher of the Deusto Design Research Group, he has participated in several European projects in the topics of Open Design and Manufacturing, Co-Design and loneliness in elderly people. Besides his activities within the University, he is also secretary of the editorial team on “Proyecta56”, an indexed journal, as well as part of the Scientific Committee of the European Academy of Design. He also has co-chaired the European Academy of Design conference 2023.
